Calm down dragon š
Here is a dragon that can help children to deep breathe. By breathing in through their nose and out through their mouth, making the dragon breathe fire.
What you need:
ā¢Paper cup
ā¢ Pen
ā¢ Scissors
ā¢ Cellotape or hot glue
ā¢ Felt and goggly eyes for decoration.
How to make
1.) First on base of cup, draw a line in the middle.
2.) Cut out only one half from the line you have drawn.
3.) Draw and cut out some felt dragon spikes, stick them to the side thatās in line with the remaining half at the base of the cup. Then add some goggly eyes too.
4.) Add the tissue paper to the top of the cup, and stick it to the side thatās in line with the felt spikes.
5.) Get the child to breathe in through their nose and out through the hole at the base of the cup you made. This will make the tissue paper wiggle and act like the dragon is breathing fire.
The deeper the breathes the more the tissue paper moves and makes a sound.
(Alternatively you can also use streamers instead of tissue paper if you have a child who may pull or tear at tissue paper.)
